In accordance with Articles 1-1 and 19 of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (loi pour la confiance dans l'économie numérique, LCEN), the following information is provided to users of the website vortex-corner.com (hereinafter "the Site").

3. Business activity and online sales

The Site offers for sale works and objects by artists: Fine Art prints, including numbered and signed editions, art prints, textiles and collectibles. The terms of sale (prices, ordering, payment, delivery, the right of withdrawal and its exceptions, in particular for numbered editions and made-to-order pieces, and guarantees) are set out in the Terms of Sale, which the buyer accepts before placing any order.

Prices are stated in euros, all taxes included.

4. Intellectual property

The works. The works reproduced on the Site (illustrations, paintings, drawings, photographs, product visuals) are the property of their respective authors, who retain all copyright in them. They are presented with their authors' permission, solely so that they can be discovered and purchased.

The Site. The Vortex Corner trade mark and logo, the structure of the Site, its texts, its visual identity and its interface elements are the property of the publisher or are used under licence.

Prohibitions. Any reproduction, representation, adaptation, extraction or distribution, in whole or in part, of all or any part of the Site or of the works it presents is prohibited without the prior written permission of the publisher and, for the works, of their author. This prohibition applies whatever the method used: downloading, screenshots, printing, artificial intelligence or otherwise. The only exceptions are those provided for in Article L. 122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code (Code de la propriété intellectuelle), in particular strictly private use. Any unauthorised exploitation constitutes infringement punishable under Articles L. 335-2 et seq. of the same Code.

Automated collection. Extracting the content of the Site using automated tools is prohibited, including for the purpose of training artificial intelligence systems. The publisher and the authors expressly opt out of text and data mining of this content, in accordance with Article L. 122-5-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code.

Buying a work does not transfer any rights. Purchasing a print or an object transfers ownership of the physical medium, and that alone. It does not transfer any right to reproduce or exploit the work (Article L. 111-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code).

5. Personal data

The personal data collected on the Site (orders, customer account, Club Vortex membership, contact, quote request or application forms, availability alerts) are processed by the publisher, as data controller. They are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and amended French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 ("Informatique et Libertés").

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, in particular to direct marketing. You may also set instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death. To exercise these rights, write to contact@vortex-corner.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

6. Cookies

The Site uses:

strictly necessary cookies required for it to function (basket, session, security, remembering your choices), which do not require consent;
audience measurement or personalisation cookies, which are placed only with your prior consent.

On your first visit, a banner allows you to accept, refuse or customise these cookies, as easily in one case as in the other. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link or in your browser settings. Your choice is stored for 6 months, after which the banner is shown to you again; the lifetime of the cookies themselves is limited to 13 months.

7. Consumer mediation

In accordance with Articles L. 612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), any consumer may refer the matter, free of charge, to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of a dispute with the publisher. The consumer must first have sent a written complaint to customer service.

8. Liability

The publisher endeavours to ensure that the information published on the Site is accurate and up to date. It reserves the right to modify its content at any time.

Reproductions of the works are as faithful as possible. Slight colour differences may nevertheless exist between the screen and the print, depending on the screen settings.

The publisher cannot be held liable for any temporary interruption of the Site for maintenance or due to an external cause. Nor is it responsible for the content of third-party sites to which the Site links (social networks, artists' websites, partners).

To report unlawful content on the Site, write to contact@vortex-corner.com, specifying the nature of the content and the address of the page concerned.

9. Governing law and disputes

This legal notice is governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, where necessary through the mediation described in Section 7. Failing that:

consumer: the consumer may refer the matter, at their choice, to the court for the place where they resided at the time the contract was concluded or the harmful event occurred, or to any other court having jurisdiction under the law (Article R. 631-3 of the French Consumer Code);
business: the dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts for the place of the publisher's registered office.
