A knight in pale armour, on horseback, rides down a forest path in shadow, between tall reddish-brown trees. In the distance, a castle with pale turrets rises beneath a stormy sky of grey and gold. White flowers line the path.
The original is a gouache by Gustave Doré, made with pen and black ink and heightened with lead white, on paper prepared with a brown ink ground. It is held by the Art Institute of Chicago.
In the Heritage range, this work is linked to Olivier Ledroit, who recognises Gustave Doré as an influence.

A purchase we're really proud of, beautiful print quality.
I love Førtifem's work, it was the artwork that drew me to this album in the first place. The art print is incredible quality, a beautiful piece I love having at home.
Finally, colors that really pop! Thanks Vortex!
